About Us

Who we are

Our Director, Joel, has over 17 years of experience in the residential building industry and leads the team with enthusiasm, knowledge, and clear communication. Joel is joined by his wife Jade who works part-time behind the scenes keeping everything running smoothly.

BuildArt Projects are proud to be a small, family-run local business that has created a team that want to work together. Max, our supervisor, has worked with Joel for nearly 10 years and oversees all our projects. We are incredibly lucky to have highly motivated and skilled carpenters (Brad, Will, Adam, Kierin and Krispin) and energetic and dedicated apprentices (Josh, Toby, Dave, Addison and Angus). The team is also supported by Blake, who is a Cadet Contracts Administrator.

The other pivotal members of the team are Joel and Jade’s children Sunny and Tex, and their dog Claudia; they can always be counted on for a smile and a play when they visit onsite, or when everyone is over for afternoon drinks and laughs. We are more than work colleagues, we are family.

Since BuildArt started operating, we have focused on developing positive working relationships with the best subcontractors, architects and suppliers in the Newcastle area. We provide a professional and unique service to each individual client and acknowledge we are in a privileged position to be invited to bring our client’s dream to life.
